Kissing in public is perfectly acceptable with me. As for kissing on the first date I’m cool with it.

My friend shook my hand the first time we went somewhere together and it didn’t stop our relationship from growing. So I don’t think it is all that important – for me anyway.

A short kiss is cool. What I personally don’t like to see is where it goes beyond that. After all that is what hotels are for!

Long kisses in public are not really that acceptable, but a quick one shouldn’t be a big deal.
I think kissing good-night is good, if you really like the person, but should not be mandatory, esp. if you’re just looking to see if the person actually liked you or not.
Kissing too soon on the first date is tied to being too quick, period, like you don’t want to date for long. If you really like each other, you get to know each other a bit, but you do kiss him good-night, so he knows you like him.
That’s ONLY my opinion, and shouldn’t be taken as Word! It depends on how things are with that particular couple. It’s is really important to have good, honest communication. Make sure you’re both on the same page.

Kissing on the 1st date isn’t all that important- it’s not necessary. PDA’s are okay if you don’t go too far with the touching and grabbing out of respect for any children that could be watching.
